Immigrant Leaders to Be Honored at 2013 Immigrant Journey Awards

— In its committment to spotlight immigrant achievements and positive impact in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, Badmus Law Firm, PLLC will honor individuals and organizations who have reached the pinnacle of success at the 2013 Immigrant Journey Awards Luncheon on Thursday, April 18.

Of the 14 finalists, two award winners each will get named in the Immigrant Entrepreneur and Immigrant Professional Excellence categories, while one winner each will receive recognition in the Immigrant Advocate and Immigrant Spirit categories. The finalists are:

Dr. Walter Chiang, founder, CP&Y Inc.
Afisu Olaimtan, president, APM & Associates, Inc.

Winners will be announced on Thursday, April 18 at the La Cima Club, 5215 North O’Connor Road, Irving, Texas. The luncheon starts at 11:30 a.m. Tickets are available at http://immigrantawards2013.eventbrite.com/. Proceeds from this event are used to fund the American Dream scholarship for DFW immigrant or first-generation American high school students.

The featured speaker for the third-annual event is Joseph Chapa, Vice-President of the U.S.- Mexico Chamber of Commerce. Three American Dream scholarships will be presented at the luncheon as well.
