Badmus Law Firm continues another year of supporting immigrant students in the Dallas-Fort Worth area through its Immigrant Journey Awards program

Press Release- Nov 19, 2012 – Badmus Law Firm recently awarded its American Dream Scholarship to outstanding Irving student, Manuel Caballero. Mr. Caballero is a recent graduate of MacArthur High School and currently attends North Lake College, pursuing a degree in history and bilingual education. “This scholarship places me one step closer to fulfilling my dream of becoming a teacher and making my parents proud. I am now so close, I can actually taste it. Thank you, Badmus Law Firm, for this great opportunity,’ said Mr. Caballero, whose leadership activities included Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps, College Readiness Program, and various academic and volunteer efforts in the community.

Badmus Law Firm’s scholarship was funded by proceeds from its 2012 Immigrant Journey Awards luncheon held earlier this year. The awards program honored notable DFW immigrants, Fernando Andrade, Joyce Brown, Sante Chary, and others. “Education is held in high standard at our firm. It is important to encourage our youth to achieve their educational goals, regardless of their financial status. Manuel is just one example of the many immigrant and first-generation American students that have distinguished themselves through their passionate commitment to education,” said Ann Massey Badmus, the firm’s founder.

The firm will award three American Dream Scholarships at the 2013 Immigrant Journey Awards luncheon. Immigrant and first-generation American high school students across DFW are encouraged to apply by contacting nonadele@badmuslaw.com.
