USCIS Releases Count on 2010 H-1B Filings

The USCIS announced April 20, 2009 that it has received approximately 44,000 H-1B petitions toward the 2010 fiscal year Congressionally mandated cap. This cap dictates that the USCIS may only issue 65,000 H-1B visas per year. The USCIS, therefore, continues to accept H-1B petitions and will until the cap is filled.
