USCIS Announces Proposal to Increase TN visas to Three Year Increments

On October 14, 2008, USCIS announced a proposal to increase the length of Trade-NAFTA (TN) visas from one year to three years, the same granted for those professionals with H-1B visas. Under this proposal, TN extensions can also be granted for three years. TN status is available for Canadians and Mexicans with a bachelor's degree or equivalent for a variety of professional occupations. To read the annoucement, click here.
