Expiring Labor Certs

According to the Department of Labor (DOL) regulations, Labor Certifications (LC) have a 180-day validity period. If the LC was approved before July 16, 2007, The I-140 immigrant application Must be received by the USCIS by Friday, 1/11/08.

The I-140 must be filed with the USCIS prior to the expiration of the labor certification. USCIS Service Center Operations (SCOPS) has informed AILA that all I-140s must be received by the Service Centers by close of business (5pm) on Friday, January 11, 2008 in order to qualify under the DOL January 12, 2008 cutoff.
