Attorney Martha James (Marty) has concentrated her practice on immigration law since 1999. She has successfully represented companies of all sizes including Fortune 100 companies in obtaining H-1B, L1, and B1 visas for their employees. Additionally, she has obtained labor certifications, permanent residence and naturalization for hundreds of employees. Ms. James also assists individuals to obtain family-based immigration benefits for themselves and family members from around the world.

She regularly consults with companies regarding I-9 compliance issues, including establishing and implementing compliance programs, training employees, and conducting in-house I-9 audits. Ms. James speaks to organizations on various immigration topics including the ever-changing immigration landscape, maintaining a steady workforce through compliance, and obtaining visas and permanent residence for employees.

Ms. James began her legal career in California in 1993, gaining experience in the areas of real estate litigation, civil litigation, creditor bankruptcy and family law. Following her relocation to Texas, she has focused on pursing immigration, an area of law that she finds particularly rewarding.
